2002 Rotary 9940 District Conference
The Client:
The Rotary Club of Eastern Hutt was the organiser of the District 9940 Conference for the 2002 year, in which Paul Whitham had a responsibility to handle the registration process.
The Requirement:
The site was required to handle three different functions:
- Provide information about the conference, and enable people to register.
- Process all registrations, and handle the communications with the registrants.
- Provide logistic information to the conference organiser's.
The Solution:
We built a dynamic site using Macromedia Ultradev which was linked to a cart to enable the registration process.
In the public area, most of the content was static however the main page, and the "Latest News" content was driven by database content, updated by online forms.
The registration processing, and reporting were handled behind password protected areas. All registrations (including those received on paper) were processed via the site. Automatically generated emails were sent confirming registrations, which contained links to the person information so that they could check details.
The conference was held in May 2002 and the site taken down shortly afterwards.
